Hi-gain pickup dimensions

Post by kaktus666 »

Hello,

I've got a guitar, equipped with standard humbuckers, and I"d like to swap them with a pair of rickenbacker hi-gain.
I fear the actual pickup cavities to be a bit too large, well in the length.
Does anybody have the measurements of those hi-gain pickups, so I could check with a template ?

Regards

The standard humbucker is wider than the Rickenbacker pickups for sure. For length I think they are close. I'd have to measure one to be completely sure, but the garage is cold and its late. If no one else comments, I can get you some measurements over the weekend. The Rickenbacker hi gain pickups, toaster pickups, HB1 and HB2 pickups are all the same size by the way.
