Still August here, too, but not by much. Subscribers get issues early; you should subscribe, it is a super magazine, really. Several other interesting articles in this issue alone.

Jonny Marr is featured, a cool article on conversion Les Pauls, Starfire guitars...............

Did Rickenbacker ever make a Suzi Arden reissue 360/12v63, with the gold plastic parts and TV knobs?

Suzi is known pretty much by only the hardcore Rickenbacker enthusiast that there is no point it such an instrument, unfortunately. Even more unfortunate, the real SA guitar was converted to a replica George Harrison 360/12 by some numbskull.

That is a shame! But I'll have to take a look at the VG you refer to. I let my subscription lapse fairly recently and I'm sorry I did!
And I've always heard of those knobs referred to as Oven knobs, I know we had a space age GE Oven back in the '60s that had knobs just like on Suzi Arden's guitar....

What am I missing here? Was Suzi Arden a member of The Ladybirds?

A custom instrument was built for Suzi, by a nephew of hers. Check out the VG website, perhaps the article is published on it?
