What a GREAT band. True pioneers of mixing a hip/hop beat with guitar pop music.

To bad that they couldn't release their second album right after the debut instead of having to wait for the label/legal trouble to get over with.

I think I was the only one that was laughing my butt off (in my town) during "Shawn of the Dead" when they made the "Second Coming" reference in the garden.

Yeah Craig, that was a loooooooong wait for their second album. A good release on its own but a little disappointing compared to their older material, IMHO. I saw them play in Toronto in 1995 - pretty awful, but I was such a big fan at that point that I didn't care at all!

I'll have to check out Shawn of the Dead....

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I posted this link originally in the "Rickenbacker copycats" forum and having stumbled across this thread think it actually belongs here.

Here is a link to a custom guitar painted in a similar manner. While not my cup of tea, it certainly looks interesting and colorful.

And one of Mani's own 4005 basses, listed on Reverb.

Never apologize for commenting on an old thread. Thanks for keeping the fires burning and adding to the history of Rickenbacker instruments. :D
