Buck Owens' Lightshow

Post by admin »

Buck Owens has a 331 Lightshow. Has anyone ever seen him perform with it. I am looking for a photo of this guitar which is apparently in a back room in his museum. Does anyone have any additional information to add?

Buck Owens sent his comments concerning the 1971 Model 331 Lightshow. In general, he said his main interest in the guitar was that it had been modified with the lights and he thought it would be cool for the "light show" aspects. However, the light effect was too dim to really show up on stage and he only tried it once on "Hee Haw."

I love Buck Owens he was the coolest and god his guitar player kicked ***....Dwight Yoakum wishes he could be as cool....
I sold a guitar to Dwights guitar player through his roadie and he told me that one time Dwight and Buck did the song streets of bakersfield, live in concert in Bakersfield CA, after they got through playing it, Dwight made some off handed remark about Buck being over the hill, ribbing him about being an old fart.... Buck came back with....at lease I can take my hat off and he took his hat off and had a full head of hair....something that Mr. Yoakum is lacking....
