It's amazing how bad the editing can be sometimes, huh? He probably wasn't even playing that song with the 4000. They just wanted a clip of him doing something crazy with the bass.
Something I really love about this forum is how many different areas of music I've gotten into since I started here (helps that I actually picked up the bass again too). I didn't even know who Tony Levin was before I came here, and now I have become a Crimson head (at 42!), getting into Levin, Belew, Fripp's solo stuff as well as Crimson.
I was a Thin Lizzy Fan in high school but hadn't thought about them in years either.
