From wiki: 'Lynott was born in Hallam Hospital (now Sandwell General Hospital) in West Bromwich (then in Staffordshire), England.'

I never knew THAT!!!

This is kind of cool...a full size statue of Lynott in Dublin...complete with bass (not a Ric though).

Amazing how in the first clip one camera makes his bass look like a 4000 and another camera makes it look like a Dan Armstrong Lucite!! :D

It's amazing how bad the editing can be sometimes, huh? He probably wasn't even playing that song with the 4000. They just wanted a clip of him doing something crazy with the bass.

Something I really love about this forum is how many different areas of music I've gotten into since I started here (helps that I actually picked up the bass again too). I didn't even know who Tony Levin was before I came here, and now I have become a Crimson head (at 42!), getting into Levin, Belew, Fripp's solo stuff as well as Crimson.

I was a Thin Lizzy Fan in high school but hadn't thought about them in years either.
