I love the Misfits. The songs, the sound, the 50's horror/sci fi/true crime subject matter, the album art... all just perfect. Danzig's voice, his personality, and his raw musical talent(on all instruments)... dang. Just a monster. Real American Horror. 8)

I can't help but feel they're totally underrated... I was recently in a bookstore and picked up a huge "History of Punk" tome, which included all these new wave acts like Blondie as punk bands. On the Misfits page(just one page, verses maybe 16 for the Ramones), there was just a single photo. Of Michael Graves. :| :x WTH?? It just makes you feel really bad for all the wayward teens reading about punk from a big book!
Great Ramp In My Opinion.

BIG +1 there.

Ya know...even if kids learn about the Misfits from a book, with pics of Michael Graves....they are unlikely to ever hear MG on vocals, all the classics are Danzig and always will be.

Just a phenomenal band with a great image and theme that really worked. Proved that you could play hardcore with extremely catchy sing-along lyrics and still be just....HARD. :) 8)

(it's also one of those bands that my co-workers would never think I listen to....but know every lyric in their discography. Same with Black Flag and Minor Threat)

I don't think that's on the backdrop. It's been added to the picture like a watermark.
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Wouldn't that make it a Mismark or a Waterfit?

yeah, come to think of it, Jerry has put on about 100 lbs of solid muscle since that picture was taken.
