Same here. That's one of my favorite songs of the set, as a matter of fact! I've had to carry vocal duty on "Possum Kingdom" also. It's a fun one to sing!
I love singing it too, but I lose my voice every time I do a proper job of it... I don't know how Vaden Todd Lewis does it. Guy's voice is spot-on live, too.
It was no problem once I learned/remembered how to belt correctly. I was primarily a trumpet player for a decade, so that background helped me learn how to support with the diaphragm. Once I started applying those principles to singing (and got some practice in, usually in my car where no one could hear it if it went wrong), it became much easier. I also sing Nirvana's "Heart-Shaped Box" these days without incident. I might be a little bit hoarse after rehearsal now and again, but I'm singing things I never imagined I could!

My stock 325c64 that I just bought (still have the factory strings on her) is a real Rickenbacker. I even bought extra Ric polishing cloths. You use a different cloth on your guitar, you instanty disqualify your Ric from being considered a real Ric. Lennon may be the most famous Ric player, but he doesn't live up to the 100% stock rule.
:?
Next thing you'll be posting is that once a Rickenbacker leaves RIC, it's not a Rickenbacker anymore!
The JETGLO finish name should be officially changed to JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Tommy wrote: I come by this 100% stock rule from being a classic car owner and attending many car shows. Must be stock to win the grand prize. You change a radio knob on one of those cars you go home in last place. Lennon changed more than knobs on his guitar.
If you are using the classic car analogy, how do you deal with parts that are subject to normal wear and replacement (as are guitar strings), such as tires, brake pads, spark plugs, etc. not to mention all the fluids? How can you tell what's stock or not with those items?

I think there is confusion here between "It's a Rickenbacker just as it left the factory" and "it's a Rickenbacker."

Wow! In this case, I like the Rick more than the Chick. A beautiful bass!

Not sure if anyone has mentioned Patricia Morrison yet. She played with The Gun Club, The Sisters of Mercy, and some other bands. I think she may have played with the Damned for a bit too.
