Toadies Rubberneck Tour

Saw the Toadies tonight at the Gothic (Denver), the new bassist (been with them since 2008 I think) was wielding a mid-70s Jetglo Ric that he played all night save for the song "Summer of the Strage" which was a black Jazz. You could really hear the difference in the two -- the Ric had a warmer thump, the Jazz a more articulate bottom. I was pleased to see a Ric back with this band since the departure of Lisa Umbarger. Overall a fantastic set, who'd have a thought a band that was flatlining in the early 2000s would be so productive and on top of it now? Highly recommend checking them out if the Rubberneck tour comes to your neighborhood; the first half of the set is that album in its entirety.
