Superb Jon Camp tone

There is a new release by Renaissance from their 1974 concert at The Academy of Music. It is a great document of the band in 74. At times, some of the instruments are a bit out of balance. Happily, Mr. Camp's Rickenbacker is quite loud most of the time. Beautiful tone!
(And Annie is fine form too)

A superb album (Carnegie Hall). This is a delightful counterpoint to it. The 74 show is a bit looser and has a smaller orchestra. The orchestral elements are quite different from Carnegie. "Ashes are burning" is very different; instead of the usual, long bass solo, you get an extended guitar solo by Andy Powell (wishbone Ash). The show was simulcast by WNEW-FM (my favorite station of all time back in the day).

And again, Camp's tone is luscious!
