Not a big Weezer fan, but they covered Toto's "Africa" for the 2019 "New Year's Rockin' Eve" celebration and the bassist used a Rickenbacker.

Some of Weezer's choices as of late have me scratching my head, but I suppose they've earned the right to do whatever they want.

Those Weezer guys would have been in their early teens when Toto released the tune...maybe it was one of those nostaligic, guilty pleasure kind of things. They did a good job with it though.
