Toaster Replacement-- any idea?

Post by gretschbigsby »

Greetings from Chicago!

I'm looking at a 1991 320 where a prior owner replaced the hi gains with toasters-- 2 are Barden Toasters and the middle is this pickup. I'm not familiar with a maker whose pickup would have the texture that the black plastic does on this one. Any ideas?

Thanks!

That kinda looks like the material on the top of HB1 humbuckers (Rickenbacker made).

What does the bottom of the pickup/magnet look like?

I'll have the pic of the back tomorrow-- though that would make sense having a humbucker b/c the bardens are noiseless.

We took it out-- it is a Creamery mid '63. Interesting combination of pickups. The prior owner tried to make a Lennon out of an early 90's with hi gains. Certainly chose nice replacement pickups!
