neck pickup dead on 360 -- 2nd time

Post by eljayski »

hey! i got my 360 about this time in 2010. the neck pickup went dead within a few months. my guitar tech bro gave the selector switch a hit of compressed air and the problem went away until recently.

would it be advisable for me to give the switch a shot of contact cleaner? is removing the pickguard within the abilities of an ordinary mortal? i'd prefer not to bother my bro for a trivial task nor pay for professional help if the matter is simple and within my ability to address. otoh, my handy skills are so low as to defy measurement . . .

thanks for guidance, eljayski
