That’s what I would have done too  – not getting satisfied until 99.9% correct.

Looks really good :D Congratulation!

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Well I think mine's pretty close. I think I'll be cheeky enough to call it Azureglo...

I set it all up tonight and it all just fell together. Minor adjustments on the truss rods, no adjustments needed for intonation, jacked the bridge up a bit and she plays and sounds absolutely lovely. Both of the 70's era pickups I installed are right on 8 Ohms and the 70's harness/pots doesn't crackle/buzz/hum etc. Most importantly of all, my neck repair held up!

The only thing that annoys the hell out of me are the machine heads. In trying to keep it all period correct, I put mid 70's machine heads on it and I just discovered tonight that they turn the opposite way to all the other basses I own!

What makes you think they aren't turning in the correct direction, perhaps all your others are backwards?

I love playing this thing, more so than my 4003. The neck on this old girl is much thinner. It seems to work though...
