420, 425s,Single Toaster Solid bodies users, advice please !

Post by Jesse Farrow »

Hello,

I'm going to work on a 425s project soon,

This will be my first rickenbacker ! I am a complete newbie

This one has no pickup nor wiring and i would like to mount it as my taste, being non-destructive with the guitar.

I would like to put a toaster in it.

For the wiring, i naturally play for years with Gibson single pickup tone & vol style. I would like to stay this way for the beginning...
I am not looking for classic jingle-jangle sound for this project, i am looking for a classic 425 sound that i find marvelous

I noticed that there's a switch on 425 and other single PU Rickenbackers

So if you have that kind of guitar,
do you use all the switch possibilities or only one, do you think that this swith is very useful ?
and would a junior LP single wiring sound OK ?
What do you think about pot and cap value ?

If someone has a poor little toaster alone in his home, even with cometic issues, or personnally unwound i could be very interested !

Thank you very much for your informations

Yves

PS :
Congratulations for this wonderful forum and
sorry for my poor english !
