Van Ghent teardrop cover screws

Post by dale »

Hello,

I reinstalled the original Van Ghent "Kidney bean" tuners on my 1964 625 but I am missing two of the small cover screws , does anyone know where I might find some or a substitute that would work.

Thanks

I don't know how helpful this would be, but when I was missing a very old screw for the "classical" style tuners on my 1920's parlor guitar, I was able to replace it after looking in the phone book for suppliers of screws and fasteners. I went to a small cinder block building in a very industrial part of town, and I showed the man at the counter another screw I had, which was the same, and he was able to match it. If the Van Ghent people can't supply you, then maybe you could get something from an industrial supplier. Van Ghent did.
