A 200# C-Flute Kraft Richard Thompson, to be sure!
“I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did.”

Carlin is a curmudgeon's curmudgeon...the finest mind in Show Biz.

Here's an odd little clip fo' ya...video of the close of "Slava's Snow Show" with music by The
Perry Weissman 3:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUqnNSYVCKI

The audio track is notable, in that it's two separate recordings lined up 'side-by-side' on "Garage Band". Our drummer, Merisa, put this together...she wanted the sound of the vibes, which occurred on the first track recorded at a rehearsal at our house...and the sax, which appears in the second track, a live recording made later at a gig at The Arvada Center. What's a bit amazing is that the two recordings track exactly the same amount of time, with a consistent tempo and tuning...the tracks were not doctored in any way, they just 'lined up'...you can hear a bit of 'phasing' here and there, primarily in the drumming, but it fits together pretty well.

She took the video, as well, with the 'video' feature of her little digital camera, at a performance of "Slava's Snow Show" at UCLA in December of '06.

Not as remarkable as a smeared-mascara emo-meltdown, but what the hey...
I didn't get where I am today by being on time...

If you guys click the youtube button when entering a post and just put the letter/number video code in, the box to watch it right within your post displays. Paul's link would display with just the fJZZzM6MgW4 between the youtube placeholders like this:

Here's one. It's kinda juvenile and disgusting, but still hilarious. It's from a show called "Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job" from Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block.

The '60s are the new '70s.

I don't remember this sort of bad taste until '72 or so, but I've been wrong before.
