...and it's made by the Gibson Custom Shop, too. Jeez. They sure missed the boat on this one...

Wow...........that is not at all what I expected to see. I don't like that colour combo on a Gibson at all. It is very garish looking. In fact it reminds me of some very cheap mid sixties Japanese copies that made the rounds in various configurations of popular guitars.

I love me some Les Paul's but I'm not so much a fan of the tri-burst. I'm not sure why you would put a color that didn't exist at the time on a re-issue. Nice flame though.

Would "Clownburst" be out of line? :)

A triburst, or germanflagburst as I call them. With lots of light on it it will look worse on a picture than the triburst is all by itself anyway. I'm no triburst fan, I'll tell you.

The edge will be black and the transitions more smooth - these things never seem to check out on pictures. Nitro somehow seems to pop out the thicker sprayed layers and hide the lightly applied transitions when lots of light's on it!

i like the german flag colors...but not the current ones ! :)

that sunburst does look cheap...kinda like the fender coronado series of old. needs subtle blending. send it to blue man...he'll fix 'er up, eh ?

Especially clownglo, right?

Although I don't like Triburst I'd take it anytime over Silverburst, now that is something gruesome on a totally different level!

I agree, I'm not a fan of silverburst, though I do like some metallic bursts:

Oh my... where's the sick smilie when you need it! How come they sell spray accidents as actual guitars these days? The world's become a strange place...

The third pic from the top looks decent. Perhaps it is an odd filter on the camera like that "new" FG you also posted about? If not, then :?: :?: :?:
