THIS MAKES SENSE...

Post by jingle_jangle »

So I bought one to try out. It could save me lots of time in setups provided it works as advertised...

Ironic that it's shown tuning a Gibson...

Read about these. Curious how well they work. Electric tuner makes sense, as long as it doesn't suddenly get a mind of its own and spins out of control like a fishing reel with a 12 lb bass on the other end.

I am wondering how helpful this will be. I will be most interested in hearing your review, Paul.

I saw a Gibson robot guitar tune itself silly one day at a local music store breaking strings left and right.

My block...

There's a rich hillbilly at the beginning who throws his trash on the golf course across the road, and lets his blind dog run loose in the road. No musical interest that I can detect.

He wouldn't buy one.

Next is a father and son widower/bachelor. 85 and 55. Nice guys, but no musical interests whatsoever. The older guy is after my mother-in-law, but she's after the younger one.

Then there's my family.

Then there's an older bachelor attorney who lives in Tahoe 90% of the time.

That's the block. I'll be the only one with a robo-tuner!

Peter--I would have got that on video! At least this one can be pulled from the peg...

If it works well, I'll buy one! :)
There is no reason to ever be bored.

...why yes, I suppose I do have a double bound guitar fetish...

If it is in tunes and beeps, does it beep the string pitch? If it tunes a B-string, will the beep be a B?

(yes, I'm a bit bored this afternoon)

Am I the only one thinking this is silly? Clicking my tuner on takes a few seconds and is more accurate. I don't see the point.

Erik: i can see if one is doing this thousands of times over a short time that this might be a useful tool.

More useful for us 12-string owners than maybe bass owners.
