Is there an advantage to steel over the OEM aluminum block? The spacer block in my '73 4001 functions properly but looks like a mess and I thought maybe it was time to get a new one.

Initial thoughts, I would like it to look like it fitted in the recess more snugly. I'm sure the extra length will help with curling, but making your own would be better, start with two holes and go from there.
Looking at the rods they offer I'm not sure they have any idea, they've ground the flats on the rods :lol:
