It's just an upright bass with integrated pedestal for small people to stand on!IvanMunoz wrote:I'm excited to see this ASAP!

Is the fingerboard a sparkle metallic red?
Re: And Now For Something Completely Different
Tres cool, Kira! I didn't know you played violin, too. In this case, though, I guess it's actually a fiddle.

LOVE this! How perfect is that painting on that bass! If this is something you'd like to actually see done for realsies, Todd, I WILL PAINT IT FOR YOU. Or if anyone else likes the idea and gets Todd's permission to use it, let me know!teb wrote:It would go well with my Photoshopped 4003.

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...
Re: And Now For Something Completely Different
Hey Kira, et al. Nice Work! Given the Union Jack design, your new fiddle/violin should really feature in the latest Bond movie 'Skyfall', which is terribly British. It opened here in the UK last week to rave reviews and I believe it opens in the US on 9th November. Go see - it is brilliant!kiramdear wrote:It's just a little old fiddle, Jake.

James, I am a huge Bond fan and I think Daniel Craig is the best 007 since Connery. I can't wait for the Skyfall opening here next week. If they want to use my fiddle for the next one all they have to do is ask.
All I wanna do is rock!
Re: And Now For Something Completely Different
Looks great (especially the back). I'd think twice about offering it to the Bond folks..... a cello took a bullet in one of the films. And with an upright bass, how could they miss?kiramdear wrote:James, I am a huge Bond fan and I think Daniel Craig is the best 007 since Connery. I can't wait for the Skyfall opening here next week. It's a Byrd, it's a playin'..........

Look what Jake started. Tom, it's just a violin-sized fiddle. But I would sacrifice it for Queen and Country.beatbyrd wrote:Looks great (especially the back). Actually Kira, you should offer it up for the next Austin Powers flick. Sample dialogue:
Austin (holding fiddle): I say! Would you like to play with me?
Hot orchestra violin babe: I beg your pardon. Who are you?
Austin: I meant to say that maybe we should play with each other.
Violin babe: I think that I should call security. Wait! You're talking about music. Oh, in that case, maybe we should do a simple round, like "Row, row, row, your boat". Would you like to fiddle a round with me?
Austin: YEAH, BABY!!!!!
It's a Byrd, it's a playin'..........
