Only before 11:00am, Wints!! It's now 11:10am and I'm starting to lick my lips..........
The bar will be open at Nighthawk, so those that wish to indulge (like me) may do so.
The car is packed, the eggs, bacon and tomato digested and we're ready to roll. Only one problem...... it's too early to leave!!

Here are the first few photos from today's jam session with our guest Brian Medway. Five hours seemed like five minutes and we played continuously throughout the afternoon.
Here's Frank Naccarata looking cool as always with his Jetglo 4003:-

Greg on vocals with Brian playing my '64 RM 1999, which sounded superb.
My son Jeremy got up to jam. A room full of Rickenbackers and guess which one he chose?
Steve's son Mitch joined in on drums as well. Gotta love it when the kids want join in!

You got that right wints.....a very cool day indeed!wints wrote:Cool.....
Great pics Trotty, but i think Aitch enjoyed that group "ooooOOOOoooo" a little too much!
The five hours we spent with Brian and Penny flew by way too fast. It was a real pleasure to finally meet them both,.....one of the reasons why we all love this forum down here!
Thanks, of course go to Trotty and Aitch for organizing this day, a real credit to you both!
I've checked the photos in my camera, and, unfortunately nothing worthy of posting here as they were all too dark! Methinks a new camera may be on order for Santa!
May the Medways enjoy the rest of their stay here in Oz and a safe trip home with many memories to last a lifetime!

Re: Melbourne Aussie Confluence Sunday Dec 9
Of all the Rickenbacker confluences I have attended, today had to be my favorite!
Starting with the location, at the Nighthawk Blues, we had the whole place, and bar, to our selves. Very cool venue indeed, including a nice stage and P.A setup, and large enough to fitDarrens everyones guitars
It was great meeting the Medways, and hearing Brian on guitar was amazing, and on bass also. Over the whole time at the venue, once we started playing, there were no breaks, which was great to watch song after song, solo after solo non stop.
My favorite song of the day would have to be 'All along the watchtower', and the usual Rick track 'Day tripper'.
All in all, great day everyone, and can't wait until the next one!

The Ric's in those photo's rival the guitars of any Confluence that I have ever been to.
I am honored that you all thought of us during the day (I think).
