Europe '08: Rickenbacker Reunion

Post by leesh »

Greetings from Brussels! I am travelling with my mom and grandma for the next couple weeks across Europe but we had a delightful day over the weekend with Graham as we toured London (The London Eye, great restaurant overlooking the Thames, etc). I know Graham has some pictures and hopefully he can post some of our mini-Rickenbacker reunion.

If anybody wants to see pictures of this year's adventure, I can certainly post some pictures....We'll be heading to Paris, Zurich, Como, Venice, Florence, and Rome over the next 3 weeks....so let me know if anybody wants a postcard :)

Be back full time on the forum soon!

Sounds great Alisha. We'll look for Graham to post a few pics. If possible, keep us up on how the trip progresses. I hope you get some time to peruse a few music shops too. Enjoy!

Sounds great, Leesh! Be sure to show us some pictures when you can. My girlfriend is actually traveling through Europe right now as well; she'll be hitting Glasgow, Venice, Rome, and finally London over the next 16 days.

Greetings from Zurich!

We leave tomorrow for beautiful Lake Como but the great weather continues! We had a great couple days in Zurich and saw some great sites!

We're in Rome from May 23rd-May 31st :) Before that is Venice and Florence.

To see pictures of the trip, check out some that I've uploaded to Snapfish. On the trip is myself, my mom, grandma and my sister Ashley joined us in Paris:

Happy birthday, Alisha!!

Glad you're having a great trip. Florence is my favourite Italian city and I'm sure you'll love it. There are some great clothing, shoe and handbag bargains to be had in the street stalls, too - especially in the streets north east of Via Panzani. But you've got to haggle with them.... offer half price - it worked for me!!

Give my regards to Il Duomo and the Ponte Vecchio, too!!

If you get to the Coliseum there's a great little cafe that makes the best traditional pizzas - it's in either Via Labicana or Via di San Giovanni in Laterano...... can't remember which but it's only 100 metres or so east of the Coliseum.

Whatever........ enjoy!!
