I'm late on this one....... sorry all.
Huge thanks to Joey, Diane and Gary - another memorable event! It was great to catch up with old friends and make new ones and share some music, food and grog..... erp!!!
Nice to spend time again with Paul Avabanana and Tammy and Steve, too!
Highlights? Watching Graham feeding the fish, Ruby's, the Sunday Jam, half a litre of black sambucca..... geez there are too many to go on.
Lowlights? Only one...... SPOONS!!
Special thanks to Graham for staying up his end of the hotel room each night!

Low lights.. watching you and Graham trying to choke down breakfast after that half a litre of black sambucca... some sorry looking gents you both were.. that was not a good sight.
Highlights.. fish feeding, cheeto frenzy, touring with Graham and of course the acoustic set..did I mention Joey's birthday lunch or the memory book..

Even though attendance was down, it was always cool to be with the same "group of eight" in the lounge having drinks and yucking it up after hours. I thought Joey was going to turn himself inside out laughing at one point. I need to find out where Aitch gets his drinking shirts, 'cause they are truely perfect for all occasions involving alchohol...which is actually any occasion now isn't it? I can't say I've ever had a better time than I do at these Ricky inspired events. I say inspired because even though our love of all things RIC is the catalyst, it's really the people that keep me coming back and keeping Steve and Tammy up waaaay past their bedtime.

Ain't that the truth, Dane. I was in a kind of funk all weekend knowing what I was missing. I should have spent the late priced tickets at $800 to get in by 10AM Saturday.....

We should have just pushed the vending machine into the bar so we'd have it close by.ben_brown wrote:Yes we did have a grand time didn't we........

You guys have ruined me for all Frito Lay's products. Too...much...salt! Well, except for Doritos since, they are always a party in a bag.
Re: SoCal 2008...Thanks for the Memories!
Can you ever have too many Cheetos?!?! I used to share a big bag and a 6 pack of Little Kings Ale on Fridays with my boss on our hour drive back to the Zoo years ago. We found just about every route from Coldwater to the Zoo there is that summer. Still love Cheetos, especially the HOT ones.

Thanks, Joey. With all the beer and snacks, was there a game of Bottles involved there? It was stated there was enough laughter to cause facial cramping and a near aneurysm. Sounds about right to me.

No games of bottles.. or at least none I was involved in. Who knows what was going on in Graham and Aitch's room... Besides we could not stop laughing long enough to count to 7.

I think my fingertips might still have a bit of orange on them from the Cheetos-scary.
Actually, I'm kidding, it's jaundice.
No, seriously, my fingertips are their normal flesh color.
I was definitely feeling a bit slow Sunday morning, though all those Cheetos settled in my stomach quite well, in contrast to whatever I ate at SPOOns. (Thanks for the inspriation, Joey )

Re: SoCal 2008...Thanks for the Memories!
The near aneurysm occured trying to figure out the real last name of "Paul from Long Beach".. between Graham and Howard it was all I could do to breathe.. I think Joey was having trouble with the breathing concept..
