Last week forumite John Koelling was passing through Kentucky and asked if we might get together while he was here. "Of course!" John reaffirmed my belief that Rickenbacker people are the best people as he was gracious, friendly, interesting, and intelligent (and a very good guitarist!!!). Cold Negra Modelo, fish tacos, a mini tour of downtown Frankfort (don't blink), and a long acoustic jam on the steps of the old capital building. The names of other forum members were dropped here and there (Graham, Melissa, Darren, etc.).
Hats off to John K and this great community here at the Rick Resource.

We had a fantastic time. It's Noel who is the real guitar player, not to mention quite an accomplished song writer...and oh yes, story teller . I posted a brief synopsis from my perspective in another thread:

When are you coming back to SoCal, John?
The JETGLO finish name should be officially changed to JETGLO ROCKS!

Joey...I've wanted to attend the past two years, hoping that my schedule would cooperate. Alas it wasn't to be. As Cubs fans everywhere are fond of saying, "There's always next year!*"
*Although "next year" could be "this year" the way they've been playing
