2009 Pacific NorthWest Confluence ??

Post by thx1955 »

Ladies and Gentlemen (Rickenbacker employees too)

I'd like to sound out the waters as to the possibility of holding / forming a Pacific NorthWest Rickenbacker Forum sometime in the next 3-4 months if at all possible.

I"m based in Seattle, and figured that Washington, Oregon, Vancouver BC, and of course anyone else who wanted to attend !!!

Can I ask all / any Forum members who'd be interested in either attending, or assisting me to stage such an event to contact me either via this thread, a PM, or Email.

Many thanks !!!

Hi,
Did you get any replies for the Northwest RIC conference? I am in Port Hadlock and would be interested.

My wife & I are talking about making a trip out to Oregon this summer; July, maybe early August.

Well, if you hold it over on the east side of WA, say, Spokane, there's a decent chance that I might be able to make it.
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Hmmm....I visit the Seattle area a couple of times a year on business, so with enough planning and if the PNW Confluence dates are workable, maybe I can dovetail one of my business visits and stay for the weekend of the Confluence.

Maybe an idea for a Confluence side-event might be to ask Seattle luthier Mark Arnquist to "show and tell" some of his famous Arnquist mods for Ric 12 strings or some other tips of the trade related to the care and nurturing of Rickenbackers ? ?

I would be happy to go. I'm in Kent so I would hope to be relatively central.

Wish I'd caught this thread earlier

I'll be visiting Salem and Eugene Oregon in early to mid August. Any chance of some sort of Rickophile gathering? Even for an evening at some watering hole?

I wonder what happened to Jim Glen again? He was AWOL for quite a while, then posted a lot for a short time, starting this thread at that time, and now hasn't posted in months again. Jim, where art thou man??!!

I don't know about Mr. Glen, but that does happen to some of us sometimes- we wind up doing other things and then realize we've been missing out on the fun and come back.

FYI: I'm close by (Seattle) these days, in case you kids decide to do a Northwest confluence.

Hi Guys,
As always life gets in the way, I'd still be very interested in a NW meeting, apologies for the absence

To that end:

Alisha, Scott, (any others in Seattle) how about we arrange to meet in Seattle and discuss what we could do, and when. I think I could persuade Evan over at Bass North West to host the event.

My email is in my profile, shoot me a line and let me know your thoughts.
