Well..... it's pretty much all over red rover. Out to Heathrow this afternoon for the gruelling trip home. At least I've got an 8 hour break at Narita to stretch the legs and have a few Kirins.

It's been an awesome adventure and I can't thank Graham enough for being such a wonderful host. Apart from all the great pubs and sights he's added a few thousand miles to the Aygo...... poor little thing! :(

Huge thanks also to Pete and Barbara for their hospitality and fun times. I will definitely be back!! :D

Scotty, you're exactly what I expected - a very dangerous man! Thanks for showing me around Glasgow and making sure GG and I were never short of a drink..... erp!!! And thanks for the lovely bottle of whiskey..... I reckon I'll be twisting the lid on that one on Friday night!

Special thanks also to Sarah for putting up with me for a week. Sarah, it was a delight to meet you and spend some 'chilling' time..... which I needed after a couple of weeks with Graham! Let me know when you've decided on a name for the bear.

Thanks also to everybody who checked in and commented on the activities. I know there was a definite lack of Rick content but these days to me this forum has become more about the people than the instruments - hence the nature of the posts. 4 years ago I couldn't have imagined travelling so extensively and meeting such wonderful people...... simply amazing!!

I look forward to the possibility of returning the hospitality shown by so many lovely people in the future . Until I arrive home back in chilly Melbourne........ cheers!! :D

This has been a great thread, and like Aitch correctly mentions, it's the people who really make this, (or any place) special.

Sorry I missed you this time round Aitch, but hopefully sometime in the future we'll catch up.

Safe journey, and enjoy that refresher at Narita. :D

Thanks, Andy..... I'm sorry I missed you too. Must be a reason..... the "fickle finger of fate" perhaps? I'll catch you somewhere, some day, mate!

Thanks again, all..... it's been a hell of a ride. Missing you already......

Yep....the dream's over! Dropped Aitch at the airport for a tearful goodbye. It was great to hang out for a month (with a weeks break) and we sure did have a busy time. I think we both need a rest!! I'd like to add my thanks to Pete, Sarah & Scotty for sharing host duties.

Last night was a quiet night.....a few pints and a few games of snooker.........happy days! :D

This has been a great thread, thanks to all for sharing.
The pictures of the pubs and countryside have been giving me a bad case of wanderlust.
