I'm sure that can be arranged, but if your concern is primarily one of volume then you'll be happy to hear that the bass drum has a built in condenser mic, which we were unaware of until the most recent May jam (you missed this one due to moving, Kenny). We also put a mic on the snare drum as well, and Carlin, from the studio staff, gave us a board tutorial and labeled everything on the sound board for us. :)

I'm not sure how I missed the fact that the kick drum has a built in mic, since the spot where I set the Fender Twin is inches from the kick drum, with a mic cable plugging directly into the drum inches from my eyes when I'm setting up the amp!

This means I can mark you down for "attending", yes Kenny?

With that in mind, here's the new, improved, and more precise updated list:

All righty, keep those R.S.V.P.s coming friends. :)

We'll have some non-playing guests as well who want to see and hear some of our repertoire, and check out the guitars, of course. I'll make sure to introduce them. :)

Yeah, how about it gentlemen? It would be extra cool! Too bad no one has a 12 string LS; it would be great for the rendition of "8 Miles High". :D

You know I'll be there if I can!

Problem is I have to be in Northern California that week for work and I might not be driving back until Saturday afternoon, thus missing the mini-con. I'll know for sure by Friday.

By the way, Collin's Lightshow is a 12 string.

B U M P ! ! !

ZRob, Goofyfoot, and Collin send their regrets.

Comments, criticisms, suggestions for this weekend?

Play in earnest, and organize those songbooks friends. :D

Paul,

Will the usual   "Pre-Mini-Con Practice" be taking place on Thurs and/or Friday night, so some of us can figure out some of the chord changes before hand or if the Chorus comes before the Bridge, etc.??

(And sample some vino or favorite brews, etc.in the process )

(All the usual apologies are offered herewith :) beforehand, to those who are philosophically oppossed to the concept of jamming before a jam ....)

If anyone else knows With A Little Help From My Friends, we can do that one. It has a great bass line, too.

Hmm, no takers? I'm sure 3-4 of us might be able to figure it out, but that is a lot of question and answer harmonizing/singing, in addition to the playing.

In any case....B U M P ! ! ! ! !

I will be hosting a pre-jam get together/warm up/practice/run through at my place Friday night. I'm sorry I couldn't do more this week, but unless anyone wants to stop by my place tonight, it's all I can do since Smiling Face Down has a final mix down session tomorrow night for our latest completed song, which has to be sent out to the DVD/movie crew by Friday so they can use it for the video trailer for the DVD documentary for the Hell On Wheels rally. :)

Kenny, since you live in LB, you're welcome to stop by for a "visit", since you're opposed to pre-jam jamming on principle.
