MICRIO!!!
it looks like we are going to have V2 of RIO!!!, only on a much more intimate scale. Jason (Jdog) should be visiting us in Cleveland on November 17 & 18 (tentative, at this point) so Shari and I would like to see a few forumites join us for cameraderie, food, music, etc. Plans are to get together at our home (nothing fancy, just your typical 1930 Rest-O-Project!), we have jam space in the basement with a decent PA system and some bass/guitar amps and hopefully some sort of drum set.
Dining will be at some nice Cleveland area restaurants for the usual fair: dim sum, sushi, Mexican, Italian (Little Italy is 5 minutes from here), etc. Cleveland has a world class orchestra for those so inclined. The newly restored/added on to Cleveland Museum of Art is also very nearby, along with the very interesting natural park-like Lakeview Cemetery for those into history (Charles F. Brush, John D. Rockefeller and President Garfield among many other Cleveland area luminaries are residents there!).
Given the short notice I don't see this being anywhere as big as RIO!!! was last year (besides, we won't have that kind of space!), but that is fine, the friendship of a few is just as nice. We will make space in the house for displaying instruments but as we don't have the room for tables, guitar stands will be mandatory for sure.
Please let me know by PM or e-mail your intent to join us, I will not be posting contact info or directions publicly.

Sorry, they'll be performing in London that night - you'll just have to settle for me!

Jim,
I'm sure Chris wouldn't mind swapping basses with you for one show!

What, are you afraid that posting directions publicly might lead to you cleaning up G.G.'s vomit?!jps wrote: Please let me know by PM or e-mail your intent to join us, I will not be posting contact info or directions publicly.
