New Englanders?
Chrisdski mentioned this to me a few months ago - any folks here in New England (what the hey, we'll even allow New Yorkers ) with any interest in getting something together? I know we have a few members here, and I know that RIcks sell pretty well around here.
Just throwin' it out there...

+1 here. I almost organized one a few years back but life got in the way. We have a few RRF members out here in western MA.

Noo Yawker here. I make the drive up to Maine fairly often so I would definitely be in for something in New England.

Re: New Englanders?
Great - some interest is certainly brewing. Let's try to keep this in the back of our minds. Having never been to one of these, I'm not sure if they are informal gatherings at someone's house or more formal affairs at a function hall, or anything in between.
Thoughts on timing and/or location?

Usually depends on the number of attendees. At some point it gets too big for someone's house.FretlessOnly wrote:I'm not sure if they are informal gatherings at someone's house or more formal affairs at a function hall, or anything in between.

I'd be interested. Having never been before I think it would be wild!

This idea seems to have petered out. I live in Mass, and would really enjoy getting together with some of folks on this board. Who's in?
Re: New Englanders?
That happens. Sometimes it takes two or three times to get something going, so don't give up hope.twangs wrote:This idea seems to have petered out. ...
BTW, the thread title is amusingly ambiguous ...
Edit: I found a 2006 attempt:

Re: New Englanders?
Gary, I may have inadvertently added some ambiguity to weed out fly by nighters, but I find it hard to justify the statement that a thread in "Rickenbacker Conferences and Confluences" entitled "New Englanders?" could be in any way, shape, or form ambiguous in terms of asking the obvious question: "Any New Englanders wanna have a conference or confluence? A conflaguaration or comfortabulation would be OK as well.doctorwho wrote:

All that said, I posted this months ago. And tried to bring it up again to no avail. Given the lackluster feedback over time, I'll be happy to attend, but in no way will I be part of any organization. I was willing to do that some months ago...
