Ohio Guitar Show 6/13/10

Post by krick »

Anyone going? I am thinking about making the trip to Columbus.

Looks like "Pick of the Ricks" is going to be set up there.

I had fun visiting with Chris Clayton yesterday and he managed to score a couple nice Ricks while I was there.

Not many Ricks displayed, other than those on Chris' tables. A vintage 365 MG and a clean 1985 360/12 MG with interesting birdseye top. There was also a Rick bass copy with a cardboard TRC cut out of the package insert from a set of strings.

I made it to the Ohio Guitar Show in Columbus and found it well worth the two hour drive each way from Cleveland. The highlight of the show was meeting Chris Clayton and talking to him about strings, 12-saddle bridges, hi gains vs. toaster tops, etc. He had several beauties on display, including a fireglo 370/12 at a very reasonable price. I had my Mastercard with me and came this close to buying the 370. But I resisted temptation and bought a set of Curt Mangan strings instead.
Can't wait to try them on my 330/12!
