Joey, I regret that I must downgrade myself past maybe, to not at all. I will be up in Oakland, putting a boat in drydock, and will not be able to attend. I continue to hope, and don't give up on me. When the planets finally align, I will be there, I promise. Mark

Joey, you know I'll be there if I can. I love these get togethers and SCARF is the big gun of the west coast; and the Jake factor even kicks it up a notch.

My Wife's Birthday is October 13th. We have been talking about going away for the weekend, THAT'S THE WEEKEND

I'll see if I can move it up or back, I probably can, but for right now I'm a maybe.

SCARF JakeFest in SoCal during October...who's in?

Post by 8mileshigher »

I think BARC attendee Doug (Analogpackrat) from NorCal can be added to the "Maybe's" list, if his work schedule is permitting. :D

Has anyone heard from Louis (Rickendelic) in Santa Monica, if he'll join in the fun ?

Or from David T (Datru), who stopped by last Jam, but had to wait till his Birthday (for the surprise factor) to get to open his new Ric, which the timing of the unveiling came after the May 8th Mini Con ??

What about our buddy Dane, (AceonBass) who moved back to California recently ? Any chance on coming down in October ??

My Ric is out of the box now, so I will be there!

Is it confirmed this will also be the SCARF? How about the Halls and Paul W. on the "yes" list?

If so, maybe we'll have a bigger turnout. :D

By Sept. 14, I should have an official day on when it's happening and when I'll be flying in. Getting the tickets is the big factor on whether I can make it or not. My bet is that I can make it.

More questions for Paul A!
1. Where is this taking place?
2. Will there be a PA system?
3. What about a projector to see the sheet music?
4. Can someone pick me up?
5. Can my dear mother come? :D
6. This is going to be SCARF?
7. Can someone ask Woodie and his 1993/12 RI to come?
8. Will there be any guitars and amps for me to use?
9. What non-Rics are allowed?

I'm pretty sure this event will be this year's SCARF.
I hope the Halls and Paul W. & family can attend!
The JETGLO finish name should be officially changed to JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

More questions for Paul A!
1. Where is this taking place?
-not sure yet. We have a couple in mind, both in Garden Grove.
2. Will there be a PA system?
-required, IMO, so yeah.
3. What about a projector to see the sheet music?
-Probably not. That was one of my more whimsical/thinking out loud ideas. If I had a projector though. . .
4. Can someone pick me up?
-Probably not. That's asking a lot.
5. Can my dear mother come? :D
-Guests are welcome
6. This is going to be SCARF?
-Seems to be shaping up that way
7. Can someone ask Woodie and his 1993/12 RI to come?
-I'm sure he's already invited. Every forum member is invited to every event, but you know, distances and all. . .
8. Will there be any guitars and amps for me to use?
-I think so; there should be a plethora of both present. Just keep away from any tabletops. . . . ;)
9. What non-Rics are allowed?
-NONE!

Well, anyway, Ricks are encouraged. If the occasional something else shows up no one gets too upset. I've brought a Vox Teardrop, Joey and Scott have each brought an unusual non-Rick bass on separate occasions, Skip's whole surf set was Fender-ish last time, a Gretsch or two shows up in the hands of the Byrd's Collective, and Progknowsys features a couple of PRS guitars.

How'd I get nominated to be put in charge by the way? I am not in charge. I am not in charge. I am not in charge.
