Summertime Blues as done by The Who on the Live at Leeds album, if one ignores the key change going into the last verse!

Also, could do Peggy Sue (Buddy Holly) if one omits the F chord that pops up once in a while ... and we are known for our omitted chords!

He's going to take a swing at Vertigo and Friend of the Devil. Anyone know those?

Also, he'd like to try What I Like About You if he can get his fingers moving fast enough.

Do we have a headcount and date set?

If there is going to be a practice session/warm-up on Friday, I'll take a day off and come down early.

Steve, we'll probably know what the date will be for sure after tomorrow evening.

Yeah, any updates? And is there any need for a bassist on any particular tune?

Bassists are always welcome! Sometimes Joey's all by himself on bass, or it's just Joey and Scott. Even when we're lucky enough to have Joey, Scott, Ross, and Tom, there are still a lot more guitarists. Jeff usually only makes it if we sneak a jam in on the week OF NAMM, or possibly during SCARF. :D

Hey guys-La Reya just informed me that there is a (her) family event planned for the 22nd; and if I want to acquire any more Rickys, I need to stay out of divorce court.
SO, that date's out for me, as is February 5. If you don't choose the 5th, I'll tell you what's going on since a few of you may want to come, but I don't want anyone to be conflicted.
Let me know if you choose another weekend. I'd love to be there.
Thanks-Skip

The next mini jam will be on Feb 5th from 12 PM to 6 PM at Backline Studios in Garden Grove. Sorry Skip, it's the best date for the OC area guys, especially a couple of the guys who have already missed too many jams. There will be more.

Still in and looking forward to it!

Do we need to bring any other gear, or just the instruments?

Jonathan -- newbies have to bring lots of refreshments and snacks and you get assigned to "Roadie" duty too !

Just bring your Rics !!
Seriously, the studio will have the PA, mics, drumkit and a few amps already. That's the convenience of holding the jam there. What music categories or favorite bands are you interested in playing ? Can you handle some lead vocals too ?

First-timers are required to bring a big batch of tollhouse cookies, and give the pizza delivery guy directions when he gets lost on the way to the studio. If Skip can somehow make this one without being served divorce papers, and loses his "church key"-equipped set of keys amongst the ice chests, you're also required to dig around in each ice bucket until you find which one they fell into. ;)

Seriously though, just bring a Rick if you have one, and your enthusiasm! If you have a Wings-era McCartney shag/mullet wig, bring that too; we might try "Band on the Run" or something. . .
