Hey Paul, I'm Dan, some people call me Dan-o!

Btw that's a great looking guitar Dan. :D

Thanks Brian!

I'm diggin' on it big time. I just got it back from Larry Davis and it sounds great at home. I'm looking forward to giving it a shot at stage volume :)

Thanks, Dan. I was feeling out of the loop. It's nice to connect REAL names with faces, even if I have never met people face to face. I'll try to get out there to do just that one of these years. Last I was out there for the 2007 event.

Christmas Confluencing in So Cal

Post by 8mileshigher »

Continuing the fun ... after the Christmas get-together, there was no doubt that Danotron was going to have to get his Larry Davis refinish Rose Morris plugged in and give it a proper breaking in. Likewise, we had some Unfinished Business of several tunes we never got around to playing at the SCARF-Ricktoberfest -- And the Snowman just moved to Southern California, so proper introductions were in order .... the logical solution was a little :D Pre New Years Ricken Jam at 8) Gary's studio, on Dec 30th that ended up going from 3PM till 10 PM !!!

Fourth (and final) batch of Pre New Years Jam pics .... we got to some of the Unfinished Business 80s tunes that were missed at the SCARF-Ricktoberfest .... a rousing version of The Jam's Eton Rifles, some Plimsouls favorites and several Ramones numbers. Joey switched to the 8) JetGlo 370 guitar on Blitzkreig Bop.

Many thanks to Gary for hosting the Jam session and for the excellent Beef Stew and Sloppy Joes and other treats ! And a warm So Cal welcome :D to Mike S. having relocated from Iowa !

Happy New Years to all !

Really great to meet and jam with you guys, as well as seeing Joey and Paul again :D
I was happy I didn't get any drool on the assortment of beautiful guitars I saw, and played.
A train whistle stole the show when it was picked up by the PA and fedback musically in the key of the Pink Floyd number they were playing-very cool-sounded ike it belonged there!
Hope to meet and jam with more of you!
Happy New Years everybody :D

Actually, we were holding it down to around 95 dB ... until Rich and Mike started cranking it up on the amps ...
