Thanks, guys. Hotel is now set (thanks to John S. for assisting me w that!) so it looks like I shall be attending. Looking forward to seeing everyone and overall getting to just relax and decompress for a few days and have a change of scenery (plus check out some cool gear).

So, as some of you may know, 4-16 is also National Record Store Day. In fact, not too far from the confluence, The Record Collector besides having all the Record Store Day releases will be having a free appearance of Richard Barone, noted Rickenbacker artist.

Evan and I will probably hit the store first thing in the morning to get the releases we want (Special Dbs release that day), then confluence, then back to the store for the performances.

Vinyl is making a comeback in a big way. Almost all releases today are done in vinyl as well as CD and mp3 formats. Fancy arty colored pieces, heavy weights etc. Very cool.

Now, if Steve Jobs can figure out how to get a turntable inside an Ipod, THEN I would consider him a genius.
