Do we have any drummers showing up? How many? I may be able to recruit someone from So. Cal, but that's a big maybe.
There is no reason to ever be bored.

Bay Area (BARC ) Saturday April 21st
This seems worthwhile to "repeat" for those just catching the latest page of this thread:
Kira, I also updated the Ric Company Forum page to advise Music Spectrum, 1 PM to 8 PM and that Saturday the 21st is the date.
CJ ---- since you made the original posting on the Ric Company Forum, can you amend the "Title" of the thread there to show April 21st and San Rafael instead of Mill Valley ??

If you can hold a drum stick (or a thigh) or two in your hands you are a drummer.paologregorio wrote:Do we have any drummers showing up? How many?

Perhaps we can coax Paul's stepson Gabe to help us out again on drums. He was very good last time.

Gabe's a good drummer. Can we kidnap Thomas the amazing drumming rehearsal studio manager as well?kiramdear wrote:Perhaps we can coax Paul's stepson Gabe to help us out again on drums. He was very good last time.
I'll take that as a no as far as dedicated drummers for the event. Can anyone up thereabouts ask a friend or two to take turns sitting in?

I suspect that Thomas will be there, too. I just spoke with him; I should call back and verify his willingness to help out.

I had made a commitment for Saturday after the initial date was set for Sunday. I'm trying to shuffle so I can make it. Both Gabe and Thomas were great last year. I have a drummer friend and will ask him if he's interested. Sounds like we have the bass amp situation covered. What about guitar amps, mics, PA, etc? Same as last year?
If it is to be, it is up to me.

Hope you can make it, Doug. PA is covered, but people need to bring amps and drums.

CJ had sent me a PM through the RIC forum about editing the title of the thread. The thread as well as all of the posts there have the appropriate title now.8mileshigher wrote:CJ ---- since you made the original posting on the Ric Company Forum, can you amend the "Title" of the thread there to show April 21st and San Rafael instead of Mill Valley ??
The JETGLO finish name should be officially changed to JETGLO ROCKS!

Well, my drummer friend is going to be out of town on a business trip during BARC, so no help from me on that front. Still working on freeing myself up, but I'm pretty sure I can make it. Looking forward to seeing all ya'll again.
If it is to be, it is up to me.

Huh, it looks like we don't have any info on exactly where this is going to be held. So, here's a link:

Re: Bay Area (BARF, BARC ) again one of these days ?
hey! i might be tentatively joining, pending my purchase this weekend, just to maybe glean some inspiration and advice from the experts.
i live in alameda, marin's a great place to go no matter what the reason!
just curious, what's everyone's sorta demographic? i'm 28, female, seems like a lot of rick players are errr..somewhat older males? but then again my music taste does not really suit my age anyway. it would be nice to know if any other estrogen carriers are coming.

Hi Jessica!
Yes there are some female Ric players in our bunch. Kira kicks on bass! The age spectrum runs the gamut, but yes, there are a few geezers in the bunch and we don't bite.
You are more than welcome to come and see a bunch of beautiful guitars and join/ see us all play out of tune.
