I just got my first Ric, '73 4001, it needs some work and I would love to chat up anyone who knows anything about getting it back up to "original."

Hmm, I have never seen a pickup like that, in the bridge position. What is it?

Here are a couple of mine from when i first got it. Since then, I have taken care of the few wrong bits on it.

If I haven't already said so, I'll say it now: Welcome to the forum. Yes, there are a couple of us Rickenbacker Packers in Kansas.
