I think I was awake on the bus...... for the first few minutes, anyway.
Pity the HOB is being knocked down. I still have my denim HOB jacket so that will keep the memories alive.
Boozing on the terrace at the Doubletree Club.... I could handle that again!

Aw man, such a bummer about the HOB. I had one amazing bass night there. I saw John Paul Jones play an incredible gig for his Zooma tour. After the show the valet misplaced our car and we waited forever...then who do we meet in the empty parking lot but Tony Levin!

Those of you who were at the Rick 75th anniversary remember the place well, and it was a great time for sure....during the evening that's where I got to meet Carl Wilson's sons, Peter Buck and Mike Mills, Susanna Hoffs, The Smithereens, Chris Squire (again) Billy Hinsche (again) among others...Skunk Baxter was in the house too.
Quite a rogues' gallery waiting to get in. Sad to see it go. Well, we still have the bar at The Doubletree.
Makes me sad(and just a tad envious) to read about it, and I wasn't even there! I almost met Chris Squire back when Yes played in Dallas in the late '90s, I think it was the Open Your Eyes tour. I did meet Jon Anderson, Billy Sherwood, and Igor Khoroshev, but Squire, Howe and White were a bit more elusive on that evening....

That sounds about right. I saw Yes in '97 in a small hall with that line-up; I think that was the only tour with Igor, is that right?squirebass wrote:...Yes played in Dallas in the late '90s, I think it was the Open Your Eyes tour.....Jon Anderson, Billy Sherwood, and Igor Khoroshev, but Squire, Howe and White....
