Any word from Rickenbacker on the fate of the 350v89, also known as the Mike Campbell 350?

Was there ever such an offering from RIC?

A prototype was shown at the 2013 NAMM show. Search here on "350v89".

Let me re-phrase that: Was there ever a production instrument offered? As you very much know, the RIC Museum has lots of prototype/concept instruments that never went any further.

RIC produced production prototypes of the 350v89 for NAMM 2013 and it sounded like the 350v89 was supposed to be produced. They had even developed full CNC software for it, which is an expense they probably wouldn't have bothered with if the prototypes were destined for the museum.

But around that time Mike Campbell endorsed a Duesenberg signature model, and RIC put the 350v89 on the back burner. To date it has not been put into production.

Well, that makes sense, for RIC to do so then, I would think. Why don't you just build one as you have done with other repro Rick guitars; IIRC, didn't you build a Jackson Browne style guitar.?

I've thought about it and have most of the parts. Unfortunately, it'll be an expensive project.

Sorry for the multiple shots, but I have yet to figure out the auto-exposure quirkiness on this Nikon of mine! :?
