I love the colour on this LE - I'm considering giving my 480 something as close as possible. How light is the colour, really? In some pictures it looks light, vintage yellow, in others it's more like the Cream white the name suggests. Is the colour semi-transparent or solid?

Woops, lots of questions

Solid color, somewhere between cream and pale lemon yellow.

I find this is the best way to polish the neck on a CS.

It is often stated that the production of CS started in 1991, but my #5 is dated December 1990

Here's mine, no 270, sunning itself with LK no 26.

The CS is the hottest, most piano like bass in my collection. It's very similar in attack to my 4001S which is also fitted with a reissue horseshoe and toaster.

Ronn and John - your two lefties are probably the total production of CS lefties. The only two I've ever heard of.
