I just logged on for the first time in ages. Haven't done anything with these. I've been too busy. If things slow down a little, I'll dig back into it.

For anyone that got the original ones I built, please give me some feed-back and I'll try to incorporate into a new design.

Kevin, if any more are made I'd probably be interested.

I'll definitely have one if you find the time to make them again.
Thanks
David

Count me in too! I'll prepay if needed. I would love to take care of the intonation problems I've been having.

I also just logged in for the first time in a few years. :) I'm still interested whenever it happens.

Since I'm here, anyone have any leads on a replacement tailpiece in black? Mine folded over and my luthier tried to fix it, but no luck...

Sign me up too! Not sure what I'm signing up for, but would love a replacement bridge - been using my Jetglo S/8 more in the past couple of years than I expected...

Because these 8 saddle bridges essentially split the stock saddles in half, then relocate the saddle foot to the middle of those saddles, the fundamental E and A string saddles will need to be slotted almost on the edge between them and their corresponding octave string. Ideally, the saddles for the E and A fundamental strings should be wider than their corresponding octave strings. I know this because I set up two of these bridges from the original batch for customers. As I remember, these bridges also used larger diameter height adjusting Allen screws, which means their pockets in the tailpiece will need to be enlarged.

Guys,

I'm not going to be making any of these.

I'm trying to simplify and re-focus some things in my life and "Rick things" are rapidly dropping down my priority list.

No problem Kevin; as I came to realise after having a breakdown a couple of years back, some things in life are far, far more important. Hope everything is ok with you.

How's your house renovation project going?

Thanks Shaun,

All is well. Don't mean to sound like I'm having issues.

I used to spend too much time obsessing over certain things. (Finding the perfect pre-'72 4001 being one of those  ) Only to find out it was practically unobtainable. Every one of them has something to deal with. I've grown tired to fiddling around with stuff to get it just right. That's turned into a love-hate relationship with Rick basses (old ones). They look so cool and I love the sound most of the time, but I hate the never-ending fussing with them. I would have been better off keeping a v63 and being done with it.

I got my boy off to college last month and that has been an eye opener of how fast time can slip away when you're not focused on the important stuff. It's been bitter-sweet. I hated to see him go, but he got an aero-space engineering scholarship for Penn-state main campus. Proud Dad! :D

Jeff, we hope to "break ground" next spring. Still trying to balance what we want vs what we need, plus deciding the correct order to do them in. We need to get together this fall/winter!

Let us know, Kevin. We are finishing up details on the first floor renovation, right now.
