Those are the first bass amp I used when I started playing bass in early 1971. A friend of mine had both a 2000S with matching 2-15 JBL cabinet, and a Small box 50 watt Marshall head with its 4-12 cabinet.

Got the matching 2x12" to have it all match. Forgive my playing, this isn't a demonstration of skill, just wanted to show how it sounds

This is an a*s destroyer tone !

And your "Green Meteor" amp... I'm pretty sure I saw you/your band/your amp on Instagram today with the #Rickenbacker, It's possible or it wasn't you ?

Great tone, and with this kind of setup, even before I saw your shirt, I was pretty sure you was a Stoner/doom kind of guy

Edit: Ok I doubled checked, and yes it was you. The world is small... with internet.

Yes the internet has made it quite easy for gear fanatics to find each other! Super cool that you already saw it! I'm finally 100% satisfied with my amp setup after years of trying to convince myself I was.

I want to be the day when I can tell me "Ok, your tone is perfect!", but in some way I don't want. This would mean no more GAS

Your tone seems really cool, and this setup look monster!

Actually I'm on an OB1-300 (really nice amp!), but the cab isn't the best part of my rig (Hartke VX410.). The OBC115 I tried was cool, but I loose some punch. I tried OBC410+115, it was AWSOME. But the weight wasnt..
Never tried a 2x12 bass cab. You recommend it more than a 4x10?

Think of how expensive amps are...once you find the perfect one and can stop trying others with all that money you can afford endless amounts of fun pedals. The GAS never ends, you just have perfect tone underneath all the other layers you're experimenting with.

The way I run my settings (Rick + Mids cranked = Lemmy) if I use 10's it's way too harsh and my fuzz ends up sounding like a kazoo. For my EQ 12's are perfect. They smooth out the top end that I don't like about 10's yet have more clarity than 15's. A 2x12 is easier on your back than a 4x10 and if you thought a 15 was awesome then I feel like you'd love 12's if your only problem with the 15 was a lack of punch. Just my thoughts. Check out that Orange OBC212. I think it would sound killer with your head and your whole rig would fit in a small car.

You get a point for the money part

I should try the obc212, I'm intrigued by the isobaric system, some says that it's not very loud and you need 2 to get a real volume.
For my tone, I'm in some way in the same range as you, but with more low-end I suppose. I was interested in the 12" too, mostly for the midrange "gritt/fuzz". For gig, carry a 4x10 + a 1x15 is not always easy, maybe two 2*12 would be "easier" (or less painfull)

I used a pair of the first version of the isobaric OBC 212 cabs for a while. The concept was nice but I had a problem with them farting out when playing a third fret G on the E string. (I polled some other users and no one else seemed to have an issue so maybe it was the bass or maybe my style.)

I was told that they were issuing a mark 2 version but I never looked to see if that was the case.

Beautiful rig you got there! Thanks for the demo. Is that straight through or is there a pedal in there somewhere?
