Who's still waiting on a 4003S?

Post by squirebass »

I think many of us saw the pics posted on the RIC official website about a month ago by Ben Hall, in which he posted that the 4003S models would start shipping that week.
That got me all a-flutter about 4003S basses hitting the scene pretty quickly(mine in Colorado, I hoped), but so far, outside of a couple of posts from Pittsburgh and a few in England, the quiet here has been deafening.
There have been a couple of ebay sightings, and one well known dealer has a mapleglo model for sale, but I wonder what happened to all these instruments, and if those of us who did not get theirs will have to wait until Rick cycles back again into making basses? IIRC, I had to wait six months for a V63 back in the mid '90s, but I was hopeful of a shorter turnaround this time, given my advanced age and state of decomposition.  So, who's waiting on an example of these fine new basses?

I'm waiting on a Walnut S bass. I really don't know when RIC will be pumping them out. They did a run of "evergreen" colors so I'm hoping Walnut is next.

My JetGlo is in the first batch that POTR ordered back in January. I'll be surprised if I get it this year.

I think pretty much everyone's still waiting...

They are starting to show up on the 'Bay... there's a gorgeous JG on there now, but for several hundred dollars more than POTR's price. :(

Watch those teeth, Marlin. I'm not sure we've properly sedated the beast . . .

Don't feel bad Fred,, I'm in the second batch of pre-orders from POTR. I was told 12-18 months going in, so I'm in for the long haul. 8)

It's great Ben is posting here.
My FG 4003S just came into PoR, can't wait for it to arrive at my house.

I'm the guy from Pittsburgh. I'm waiting for my 4003SW too, it's great to hear that more S model will ship in June. Maybe the Walnut S models will be in the next group. :D
