How much has the weight changed Andy? Most of these early basses were pretty light...

It's very light Sean. I can't remember if it felt heavier before...it's been too long since I played it on a regular basis. What I do realize after playing my 60's Jazz and P bass mainly for the last couple of years is just how delicate and small the whole bass feels, especially the neck and board.

I know what you mean. Now try a Höfner 500/1. It'l feel like a toy and make the Rick feel like an anvil! The typical German-made Höfner weighs less than five pounds. :D
