'04 4003FL, Maple Glo

Post by 59jazz »

Found one at Music Zoo and they're asking $2199.00 for it. This is what I have been looking for and I contacted the seller, as I don't believe it's under 7lbs. Any thoughts on the price? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks much!

Nice bass, but it is price way high IMO.

I had a '04 4003FL that I modded a tiny bit ; the bass made for a great playing and sounding instrument. Another forumite has the bass these days.

Here is a recording of the bass using just the bridge toaster. If the video doesn't show up (I, and others, have been having problems with this, a php technical issue) here is the direct link to it:

Think about where you want the fretboard dots and side dots. There vary wildly from the late 90's to late 00's... not sure about current ones. My '92 is just like I like it, and how most are, and make the most sense: fretboard dots where they would be on a fretted bass, side dots where the frets would be. I think in the era I mentioned, the side dots were sometimes placed where they would be on a fretted bass.

And the price is nuts, Jeff's right.
