That may be a trick of the tail lighting, as the photo of the FG CB BT/BH prototype bass shows the same basses (and guitars) in the rack against the wall, and clearly, the three basses have walnut wings.

I'd like a Fireglo with black binding checker trim, black pickguard, regular 4003 fretboard, and chrome hardware...as well as a regular black nameplate. That outlined thing looks wrong.

The matte black hardware just looks like it was spray-painted with 99 cent K-mart flat black spray-paint. And, to go all-out with the black hardware but to still use chrome screws looks cheap.

I kinda like the PeptoBisGlo, but a more subtle pastel shell-ish pink without metallic would work MUCH better.

Is there ever anything good you can say about Ricks? What do you like about them? How many do you own and or have played in the past, say, 45 years, or so? 8)

Interesting. The only pic I've seen of the alleged 5 strings is the one with the "prototype" 4003. and they all clearly have walnut wings. Hmmmm...
