Electronics question
I have a 4003sw that I'm going to have customized. I have a toaster and horseshoe pickup. I am going to have the bass routed so the neck pickup will be 1/2" spacing. I want the electronics to be the same as a 4001c64. Do I need a new harness? I'm assuming so since the current 4003s have the push/pull pot. I've reached out to Dane about this but haven't heard back. Any help is appreciated.
Re: Electronics question
I think I responded to that email...didn't I? Since all Ricks use 330K pots for everything, I'd say, yes you need a new harness if you want that clarity.

I thought the 4001C64 had the 330K pots in its harness, already?

Re: Electronics question
Hi Dane, if you responded I didn't receive it. Maybe an email mix up. Could you provide a correct harness?

Re: Electronics question
One word of caution, if you are routing to 1/2" spacing, keep the cavity absolutely as shallow as possible, not a lot of wood under the neck pup, and thats the point of maximum strain on the neck. I suspect that's why Ric changed to 1" spacing on newer basses.

Re: Electronics question
Hmm, Alexander...I hadn't thought of that. I haven't heard of any issues with the C series basses though.
