Sweet as!
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

From the shop I got it from...bottom4 wrote:Back story?
We actually got this from what would technically be the 2nd owner, though I consider him the original owner.
Here's the story:
Guy gets a Rickenbacker as a gift in high school. His buddy got a white stack-knob Jazz bass .
They swapped right away, and the guy we bought it from had it from that point on!

This has a "Decembuary" '63 (as per the chef, lol) serial #, CM.
It's 7 numbers away from Mike Campbell's 12, & 8 numbers away from George's Hard Day's Night 12 string!
Pretty cool, 'ey?
Graham Griffiths owns CM118.
It has a patina to die for!
I'll post more pics later...

Wow, birth year bass. Some beauties being put on here at the moment!

Nice, Tony!
I recently got a '63, that would qualify as a "Decembuary", too. (Though I wouldn't be able to post it here).

Zing!!
What a score, congrats Tony. Looks immaculate, I love knowing these things are still out there in the hands of original owners (or their friends!).
