Buying advice needed - 71er 4001 neck problem?

Post by Kirschgeist »

Hi!

I´m thinking of buying a 4001 from 71, but I´m not sure, if it´s easy to restore.
Seems like the neck is bent at the neck pickup cavity (i know it´s a common problem)

Is this procedure necessary:

Or could it be done with the trussrods?
I just have these pictures, I haven´t seen it in person.

Thank you
Alex

Truss rods (on any instrument) have zero effect on such things. The procedure in the link you provided it the way to go.
