4004cii ordering

Post by scottpro1969 »

So I have been in touch with Wildwood guitars about ordering a 4004cii. I was told when they have called RIC in the last several months, including today....they are not accepting orders for them. I do realize that production goes in order of demand...but to not even accept an order?? Seriously? Not happy.

I personally think the 4004 body contours look better than any other Ric bass. Still you rarely see them in the wild. 4003s's however weren't uncommon. When they decided to stop production of the "S" for lack of interest, I was surprised the 4004's were still being produced. The "S" is back & quite popular. Are they going to try something similar with the 4004 series?

One of the best kept secrets in all of Ric-dom. They are a great bass... kind of like a Fender or Gibson on Ric steroids. they do come up on Ebay and the likes. That is where I got my two. Good luck with it all.

You don't want to pay over list price for the Ruby one on Reverb?

They are great basses though. I used to have a green one and it was fantastic. Only sold it because at the time I was into tiny necks (little has changed since) and that '08 was a baseball bat in comparison.

I still have two of the four 4004 basses I have owned, starting in 2004 with a 4004Cii, then three Laredos. Here are my two Laredos, they complement each other perfectly.
